Little Neck

Little Neck

A little bit of country, right here in Queens. Affordable + convenient living,

From the WSJ:

Little Neck often attracts young families looking for well-regarded schools, diverse housing stock and amenities such as fine dining. To space-starved city dwellers, the area offers a suburban feel without fleeing New York City.

Little Neck houses Udalls Cove Park Preserve, a 34-acre nature preserve that extends from Northern Boulevard to Little Neck Bay. The protected wetlands and forested area is home to osprey, raccoons, dragonflies and wood duck, according to the city Parks Department. The preserve was created in 1972 to save green space as development threatened to overtake the area. There are walking paths throughout the park.

Little Neck is zoned for District 26, home of some of the city¿¿¿s highest performing schools. The local public schools, P.S. 94, P.S. 221 and J.H.S. 67, boost test scores above the city average. A 2013-14 Quality Review by the city Education Department described P.S. 94 as ¿¿¿a warm and caring school that is safe and orderly.¿¿¿ Divine Wisdom Catholic Academy is in Douglaston.
